Our neighbor Sawyer came over this weekend. He tried to give a hand on our shelter building, which mostly involved playing with a glove, munching wood, and giving Willis an allergic reaction. He was helpful in modeling the fence we finished this weekend, and eating down some pasture though.
Bangs apparently assigned himself the role of chief inspector general at Air's Wild Acres. He approves of the new goat shed, I think mostly because he knows the Goat girls are coming up soon.
I spend my days sitting at a desk, theoretically working towards the conservation of public and private lands. I also spent years sitting at desks that did not have open landscapes within walking, or even driving, distance. So I guess things have improved, for me, even though the work mostly feels like paper pushing with minimal impact these days. We've been trying to solve some problems since the dust bowl era, and FYI, a lot of the issues are still there. And now we have habitat loss combined with climate change to deal with, on top of many individuals being resistant to change and recognizing that we need a fundamental shift in (waves hand) so many things to be effective in solving problems. But at least I have beautiful spaces to spend time in while I grit my teeth in frustration? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
Just filled out this survey on how much I recommend @lynnmalik_realtor... We really love our amazing spot in the foothills; if any of my California friends are looking, come join us. ๐Ÿ˜
"Your new place. Whats the biggest town nearby?"
So much boy goat content lately, but Willis just reminded me of when I fed the girls citrus over the weekend. I thought Rachel the Goat was choking so I took this out of her mouth, and she proceeded to pick it up and do the same thing for a few more minutes before spitting it out ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ’š
We're Bangs and Fire, here to light up the lives of all the ladies, while also keeping the brush down. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜˜
Sobrante silt loam, farmland of local importance.
New trail system to explore. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ
